St Gregory’s Catholic High School is seeking to appoint a committed, organised and highly

motivated Deputy SENDCo to support the leadership and coordination of SEND provision

across our high school. This is a non-teaching support staff role that will work closely with the

SENDCo, another Deputy SENDCo, pastoral leaders, teaching staff, families and external

agencies to ensure that pupils with additional needs receive high-quality support and achieve

their full potential.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the SEND

department, including coordinating EHCP reviews, managing and monitoring SEND

documentation, overseeing exam access arrangements, supporting pupil tracking and

interventions, and liaising with parents and external professionals. They will also contribute

strategically to the development of inclusive practice across the school and support staff in

implementing effective provision for pupils with SEND.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

• Has experience of working with pupils with SEND in a secondary school setting

• Understands EHCP processes, access arrangements and graduated SEND support

• Can work collaboratively with staff, families and outside agencies

• Is able to manage sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality

• Is passionate about inclusion and improving outcomes for young people

The role includes:

• Coordinating annual reviews and SEND meetings

• Maintaining accurate SEND records and pupil passports

• Supporting assessment and identification of additional needs

• Leading and coordinating exam access arrangements

• Monitoring SEND provision and pupil progress

• Supporting staff with strategies and inclusive practice

• Liaising with parents, external agencies and feeder schools

• Contributing to the strategic development of SEND provision
