How to watch Mass online during coronavirus pandemic

The day may come when public Masses will be suspended due to the outbreak of COVID-19, or you need to stay at home during the pandemic. Catholics can benefit from watching a live broadcast of Mass while at home.

Several UK and Ireland Catholic churches have live broadcasts of their daily and Sunday masses.  Watching Mass online or on tv is one way for Catholics to stay connected with their parish and the Church, even if they are unable to come together.

Catholics should still remember to keep the Sabbath holy even though there may be no chance to attend a Mass physically.

Set aside time on Sunday or Saturday evening to go through the readings for the day, try and pray together as a family, if you don’t have others living with you, you could video call a friend or family member on Skype or WhatsApps to pray with you.  Or you can just pray on your own.

To see what churches in the UK and Ireland are live broadcasting their Masses, visit https://www.churchservices.tv/churches/, alternately visit your Diocese’s website as they may have further information.

On Sky Channel 588 the Catholic Global Network ETWN broadcast a live daily Mass in English at midday every day.  If you don’t have Sky, you can watch a live broadcast on your, phone, tablet or desktop computer by visiting https://www.ewtn.co.uk/live/tv
