At the conclusion of Sunday’s Jubilee Mass, Pope Francis recalled how those in military service can be “agents of security and freedom of peoples” in contributing to the establishment of peace. He prayed for peace in the conflict zones of Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, Myanmar, Kivu (DRC) and Sudan.
During his homily at the Jubilee of Armed Forces Mass on Sunday, Pope Francis entrusts their efforts to Christ, recalling that turning to Him in constant prayer is a source of strength for their important duties. He praises chaplains providing accompaniment, saying, “they are in your midst as the presence of Christ.”
