Required for 1st September 2026
Salary: MPR/UPR
We are an 11-18 Catholic College with 1,600 students on roll, including 261 in the Sixth Form. GCSE and A level results have been consistently excellent over several years and we are determined to make ourselves an exceptional educational provider. Our college is highly popular with parents/carers, and we are oversubscribed every year.
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of Geography who is committed to ensuring student enjoyment and progress in this subject. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious person to develop their career in a forward-thinking college with high standards of achievement and care.
Our Geography department is a thriving team of five dedicated specialists, with a growing number of students choosing to study Geography at GCSE each year. We deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that bring the subject to life through contemporary case studies, enquiry-based learning and fieldwork opportunities.
At GCSE, we follow the Edexcel B Geography specification, providing students with a strong foundation in both physical and human geography, while at A Level we teach Edexcel Geography, encouraging independent thinking, critical analysis and a deeper understanding of global issues.
Beyond the classroom, we offer exciting enrichment opportunities, including our highly valued trip to Iceland, which gives students first-hand experience of dramatic physical landscapes and geographical processes in action. We pride ourselves on fostering a supportive and stimulating environment where students are inspired to explore and understand our changing world.
