Saints Peter and Paul Catholic High School

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and motivated individual to join our school community and take up a leadership position in science. This is a pivotal role for an experienced teacher who is passionate about raising achievement and shaping the curriculum for GCSE success.

At Saints Peter & Paul Catholic High School, we are proud to be “An Inclusive Community of Excellence and Opportunity.” Our vibrant and dynamic school values respect, aspiration, and compassion, and every member of staff plays an important role in promoting these values.

We were rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in July 2022, were inspected again in October 2026 and are excited to be able to share our new report when it is published in the coming weeks. In our Catholic School Inspection in October 2024, we were graded ‘Grade 2, Good’. Inspectors recognised the tangible sense of community experienced by students and staff who feel valued and cared for.

As the 2nd in Faculty of Science, you will:

  • Lead and develop the science curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, challenging, and aligned with national standards.
  • Drive student achievement by analysing data, implementing interventions, and setting high expectations for progress and behaviour.

  • Collaborate across the school to promote numeracy and cross-curricular learning.

This role offers the chance to influence outcomes for our students at a crucial stage in their education and to play a key part in our continued success.

We will offer you the opportunity to:

  • Be welcomed into a supportive and forward-thinking staff team
  • Benefit from exceptional professional development opportunities
  • Work within the strong Archdiocese of Liverpool Secondary School Improvement Trust, with regular opportunities to collaborate and share best practice
