Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent

39 weeks (TTO plus 5 days)

Hours: 8.30am-4.15pm 

Start Date: 1st September 2026

St Antony’s RC School is seeking a committed, compassionate, and highly organised Pastoral Manager to join our dedicated secondary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and helping students thrive both academically and personally.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, teaching staff, and external agencies to promote positive behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and safeguarding across the school.

Key Responsibilities

·        Provide pastoral support and guidance to students across assigned year groups.

·        Build positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and staff.

·        Monitor attendance, punctuality, behaviour, and wellbeing.

·        Support students facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.

·        Work alongside safeguarding and inclusion teams to ensure student welfare.

·        Coordinate interventions and support plans for vulnerable students.

·        Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.

·        Liaise with external agencies and support services where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

·        Experience working with young people in a school or educational setting.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·        The ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.

·        A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

·        Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.

·        A commitment to inclusion, wellbeing, and student success.
