The Governors of Bonus Pastor Catholic College are seeking to appoint an outstanding and committed, practising Catholic to lead the Religious Education Department in our highly successful and oversubscribed Catholic school.

Religious Education is at the heart of the life and mission of Bonus Pastor Catholic College. The successful candidate will play a central role in promoting the Catholic ethos of the school and ensuring that Religious Education remains rigorous, engaging and inspiring for all students.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a practising Catholic committed to the mission of Catholic education
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong track record of securing high standards
  • Have the ability to lead and develop an effective RE department
  • Demonstrate a passion for Religious Education and its central place in a Catholic school
  • Lead the development of an ambitious and engaging RE curriculum in line with the Religious Education Curriculum Directory
  • Support and contribute actively to the Catholic and liturgical life of the school
  • Inspire and motivate students to engage deeply with Religious Education
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise standards of teaching, learning and achievement
