St Wilfrid's Catholic School

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the St Wilfrid’s community as Afternoon Receptionist from September 2026.

In this role you will be an ambassador for the school when meeting visitors and parents and to act as a first point of reference when people arrive.

The position is 21 hours and 15 minutes per week, 12:15 – 16:30 hours, Monday to Friday.

If you want to work in a school where everyone is valued and supported to be the best they can be (both students and staff) then this is the school for you. Please click on the following link or copy to your browser to get a flavour of St Wilfrid’s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5REzWqgTe0  As you will see from the link, we have great facilities, great staff and above all, great students!

This is a school that wants to be the very best it can be. Do you want to be part of that? You do not need to be Catholic to work here, indeed many of our staff are not, but a willingness to embrace the ethos of the school is expected.

The strength of community at St Wilfrid’s is a strong one based upon mutual respect. The staff work incredibly hard and are prepared to go the extra mile for students.

Our students are amazing and they contribute enormously to making the school such a welcoming and productive place. Our most recent Catholic School Inspection Report (October 2024) and our Ofsted Report (March 2023) certainly reinforce this aspect of school life. All potential applicants are invited and encouraged to arrange a visit – we firmly believe you won’t be disappointed!

St Wilfrid’s Catholic School reserves the right to review applications, interview and appoint before the closing date so please make sure your applications are sent as soon as possible.

St Wilfrid’s and West Sussex County Council are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service check along with other relevant employment checks, including satisfactory references.
