The Governors of this Catholic high school and Sixth Form College are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join a vibrant, diligent and supportive department. This fixed-term contract is offered to cover a period of maternity leave that will commence on 1st September 2026 and is expected to end on 31st August 2027 (or upon the earlier return of the substantive post holder). The opportunity for flexible part-time working may be considered, but this would need to be a minimum contract of 0.80FTE.
The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motivate students to learn with the skills, knowledge and ability to understand and deliver effective learning through challenging, high-quality and exciting teaching methods. They will have the expertise to encourage and engage students, and be determined to get the best from the students, ensuring they make their very best progress. This will be achieved through planning and delivering engaging lessons, which will inspire our learners to succeed.
We are a cohesive and team-oriented department with a clear passion and drive to improve student outcomes in Mathematics, and are looking for someone who loves mathematics, believes passionately in its academic importance, and can work well in a team to deliver an inspiring, transformative curriculum. We would like our mathematicians to be empowered and inspired to go on to further study in the subject at our sixth form and into Higher Education.
