Teacher of Science

This is a pivotal time for our school as we continue to enhance our provision and ensure every student has access to a broad, academic curriculum.  We are seeking an additional exceptional Science Teacher to join our dedicated team at St Annes RC Voluntary Academy. As a Teacher of Science, you will have the opportunity to inspire our Students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting the Leadership in the department to ensure excellent teaching and outstanding outcomes.

Start date: Autumn 2026

Key Responsibilities:

·         Deliver engaging and well-structured Science lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity

·         Differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of all Students, including those with special educational needs or Science as an additional language

·         Contribute to the design and development of the Science curriculum, ensuring it is challenging and relevant

·         Use formative and summative assessment effectively to monitor progress and plan subsequent lessons

·         Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values through your teaching and interactions with Students

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status with classroom experience.
  • A strong background in teaching science and a passion for the subject area.
  • Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary level
  • Ability to plan and deliver outstanding lessons that engage and motivate Students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Commitment to promoting pupil progression and academic excellence.
  • Alignment with our Catholic values and mission.
