Teacher of Mathematics

St Annes RC Voluntary Academy is a Catholic Secondary School, part of the Emmaus Trust. We are seeking an additional exceptional Mathematics Teacher to join our dedicated team at St Annes RC Voluntary Academy. As a Teacher of Mathematics, you will have the opportunity to inspire our Students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting the Leadership in the department to ensure excellent teaching and outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons that promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
· Differentiate teaching approaches to meet the needs of all Students, including those with special educational needs or Maths as an additional language
· Contribute to the design and development of the Maths curriculum, ensuring it is challenging and relevant
· Use formative and summative assessment effectively to monitor progress and plan subsequent lessons
· Promote the school’s Catholic ethos and values through your teaching and interactions with students

Requirements:

· Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
· Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Mathematics
· Proven experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary level
· Ability to plan and deliver outstanding lessons that engage and motivate students
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Commitment to continuous professional development

Desirable Qualities:

· Experience in a Catholic school or understanding of the Catholic ethos

· Ability to teach additional subjects at Key Stage 3 level

· Involvement in extracurricular activities or whole-school initiatives
