We are seeking to appoint an exceptional History Teacher to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will be passionate about History, delivering high-quality lessons that promote curiosity about the world and develop students’ understanding of both physical and human environments.

In addition to their teaching responsibilities, the candidate will contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting student development and wellbeing. They will work collaboratively within the Humanities team to plan and deliver an ambitious curriculum, share best practice, and drive improvements in teaching and learning.

Your New Role:                

Under the guidance of the Headteacher and senior leadership team, plays a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting the wider development of the school by:

  • Embedding and promoting the school’s ethos, vision, values, and inclusive culture in all aspects of their work
  • Delivering engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity about the world and developing students’ understanding of physical and human geography
  • Contributing to the Humanities faculty and working collaboratively with colleagues to plan an ambitious and coherent curriculum
  • Driving excellence in the quality of education through effective teaching, assessment, and continuous professional development
  • Supporting student behaviour, inclusion, and safeguarding, ensuring every student feels safe, valued, and supported
  • Promoting strong student progress, personal development, and wellbeing for all learners, particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged
  • Contributing to wider school improvement priorities through active participation in initiatives, enrichment opportunities, and the broader life of the school
