TEACHER OF A LEVEL ECONOMICS REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2026 FOR 3-5 DAYS

Scale MPS/UPS including Outer London – TLR available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-qualified Economics specialist to teach A level within our highly successful Sixth Form. Economics is one of our most popular A Level subjects, and you will be teaching ambitious, committed students who are genuinely passionate about their learning. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to inspire the next generation of economists whilst developing their own career in an outstanding school.

St Mark’s is heavily oversubscribed school with a thriving Sixth Form of almost 300 students. We offer an exceptional environment where dedicated teachers can truly make a difference, and we are incredibly proud of our students who achieve consistently excellent examination results. Full or part-time applicants will be considered, and the ability or willingness to teach another subject (ideally Maths KS3/4 or GCSE Business Studies) would be required if applicants wish to be considered for a full-time post.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A genuine passion for teaching Economics and inspiring young people.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver outstanding A Level Economics teaching.
  • High expectations and an unwavering commitment to enabling all students to fulfil their potential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
  • A commitment to our Catholic ethos and values.

What are we offering:

  • Opportunities for high-quality professional development in a school committed to staff wellbeing.
  • Students with an excellent work ethic who are wonderful to teach.
  • A friendly, welcoming school community where both staff and students flourish.
