3 days per week (term time only – 39 weeks)

Point 10  – 13  Payscale £14,353 – £15,063 actual salary (£27,694 – £29,064  FTE pro rata) Dependent on experience

We are seeking to appoint a Catholic School Chaplain to play a leading role in the spiritual development of the school community, make links with parishes and is able to work alongside the governors, priests and staff in enabling the students of Upton Hall School to continue on their spiritual journey through active experience of their spirituality. In May 2025, Upton received an Outstanding judgement in our Catholic Schools Inspection. The successful candidate will come to a school where inspectors found “Upton Hall is a joyful Catholic community: the school’s ethos, and the values of the Faithful Companions of Jesus (FCJ) are celebrated, embraced and lived in every aspect of life. Upton Hall is forming young women to have the skills, knowledge, compassion and faith to make the world a better place”

The Chaplain, through his/her work and witness,

• will contribute to the spiritual and pastoral care of all members of the school community.
• will have a central role in implementing the school vision statement and work with the Headteacher in leading and developing the Catholic life of the school.
• will nurture the faith formation and liturgical life of the school community.
• may also work to enhance the Religious Education curriculum where appropriate.

Upton Hall School is a Roman Catholic Grammar School for girls. There over 1000 girls on roll and it is oversubscribed. Facilities are outstanding. The school has academy status.
