PE Teacher

An exciting opportunity has arisen at St Columba’s Catholic Boys’ School to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of PE, to join our established department from 1 September 2026. Early Career Teachers are welcome to apply.

The successful candidate must hold Qualified Teacher Status and will be required to deliver PE lessons across the full ability range at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

We are seeking an individual who is not only passionate about their subject and possesses strong subject knowledge, but who also has a genuine commitment to ensuring all students make excellent progress. The outstanding attitude to learning demonstrated by our students provides an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging, dynamic, and high-quality lessons.

St Columba’s is a Catholic comprehensive school for boys aged 11 – 16 in the London Borough of Bexley. The school’s ethos and vision is that every member of our school community is a unique and special creation of God. We are part of the St Oscar Romero Catholic Academy Trust.

St Columba’s most recent full Ofsted inspection (published January 2025) confirmed the school remained a good school stating “Pupils are keen to come to this happy, inclusive school. This is a caring community that welcomes and celebrates diversity. The school sets high expectations for learning, behaviour and attendance. Pupils respond well to these. They come to school regularly and on time. Pupils behave with courtesy and respect.
