We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed pastoral leader with proven leadership and management skills. The person appointed will work closely with school leaders and will ensure that the school vision and high standards are implemented through outstanding pastoral support. This is a fantastic opportunity for staff seeking to enter middle leadership.

To be a successful Head of Year you will:

§  Lead, inspire and raise aspirations and achievement for a Year group

§  Be committed to making a difference to the lives of young people and have an unswerving belief in the potential of all students

§  Demonstrate very good interpersonal skills with staff, pupils and parents/carers

§  Demonstrate impeccable behaviour management skills

§  Lead in monitoring the progress of your year group and ensuring every pupil’s achievement is valued and facilitated to be good and better

§  Be involved in liaison, transition and progression arrangements as appropriate

To be successful at St Catherine’s, you will:

§  teach to Grade 9 standard at GCSE and at A* for A Level

§  ensure your students make outstanding progress across all key stages

§  commit to our supportive but challenging ethos and culture

§  thrive on working in teams but be able to work independently

§  constantly challenge yourself to become a better practitioner
