The Governors are seeking to appoint an ambitious, highly motivated and inspirational teacher to lead our Creative Digital and Media Department within this Catholic 11–18 comprehensive school, judged “Good” by Ofsted and recognised for its strong Catholic ethos and commitment to student achievement.

The Creative Digital and Media Department has grown significantly in recent years and is an exciting area of development within the school. The department currently delivers Creative iMedia and a T Level Transition programme for Media, alongside the Digital Software Development and Media Broadcast and Production T Level pathways. We are committed to providing students with industry-relevant experiences, employer engagement opportunities and a rich programme of enrichment activities.
We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and talented leader to further develop the department and inspire students through outstanding teaching and learning. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for Creative Digital and Media, drive high standards of achievement, and continue to develop a curriculum that prepares students for progression into higher education, apprenticeships and employment within the creative industries.
This post would suit either an experienced middle leader seeking a new challenge or an outstanding classroom practitioner ready to take the next step into departmental leadership.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to teach Creative Digital and Media across a range of qualifications and age groups.
- Have the vision, enthusiasm and leadership skills required to drive departmental improvement and student achievement.
- Have experience of, or a strong understanding of, vocational and technical qualifications, including T Levels.
- Be proficient in the use of industry-standard creative software, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Be confident in the use of Apple Mac technology and associated media production equipment.
- Be committed to developing extra curricular and enrichment opportunities, including student-led media projects and productions.
