St Wilfrid's Catholic School

We are looking to appoint a full time Facilities Officer to start as soon as possible.

The Facilities Officer plays a vital role in ensuring that school premises, grounds, facilities and associated services are maintained to a safe, secure, compliant and high-standard environment for students, staff, visitors and community users.

Working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the postholder will undertake a wide range of facilities, maintenance, security and health and safety duties. The role requires a practical, proactive and flexible individual who can identify and resolve issues, support school operations, assist with statutory compliance, supervise contractors and contribute to the effective management of the school’s estate.

This is a full time, all year round position working 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday.

All potential applicants are invited and encouraged to arrange a visit – we firmly believe you won’t be disappointed!

St Wilfrid’s is an “Outstanding Catholic School” where “staff are excellent role models” and where students say that the school “feels like a family where people care for each other” (Catholic Schools Inspection 2024).

If you want to work in a School where everyone is valued and supported to be the best they can be (both students and staff) then this is the school for you. Please click on the following link to get a flavour of St Wilfrid’s here. As you will see from the link, we have great facilities, great staff and above all, great students!

This is a school that wants to be the very best it can be. Do you want to be part of that?  You do not need to be a Catholic to work here, indeed many of our staff are not, but a willingness to embrace the ethos of the school is expected.

The strength of community at St Wilfrid’s is a strong one based upon mutual respect. The staff work incredibly hard and are prepared to go the extra mile for the students in their charge. Our students are amazing and they contribute enormously to making the school such a welcoming and productive place. Our most recent Catholic School Inspection Report (October 2024) and our Ofsted Report (March 2023) certainly reinforce this aspect of school life.

St Wilfrid’s Catholic School reserves the right to review applications, interview and appoint before the close date so please make sure your applications are sent as soon as possible.  Candidates may be invited for interview upon receipt of their application – please do not wait for the closing date.
