Deputy Headteacher

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly effective, visionary leader who is passionate about inclusive, high-quality education from Early Years through to GCSE. As Deputy Headteacher, you will:

·         Provide outstanding strategic and operational leadership across the whole school, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong pastoral care.

·         Help secure a cohesive and progressive 3–16 curriculum, maintaining continuity of culture, expectations and standards across the primary and secondary phases.

·         Deputise for the Headteacher, taking full responsibility for the leadership and management of the school when required.

·         Lead on whole-school improvement priorities, using data rigorously to evaluate performance, identify priorities and drive continual improvement.

·         Line manage and develop staff, providing appropriate challenge and support, and contributing to a culture of professional growth and high expectations.

The precise portfolio of responsibilities will be shaped around the strengths, experience and professional interests of the successful candidate and balanced across the Senior Leadership Team.

You will also play a key role in safeguarding leadership, ensuring that our statutory responsibilities are fully met and that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
