Assistant Headteacher / SENDCO

Founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame in 1869, Notre Dame is a well-established coeducational Catholic Academy and a member of St Joseph’s Multi Academy Trust. We are now looking for a committed, passionate and driven individual to join our Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Headteacher / SENDCO.

Job Purpose:

The SENDCO, under the direction of the Headteacher, will:

• Determine the strategic development of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) policy and provision in the School
• Be responsible for day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support individual students with SEND
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff across the School, parents and other agencies
