Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour and Attitudes

The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and capable individual to join the senior leadership team St John Bosco College Battersea, a Roman Catholic, 11 – 18 comprehensive school judged “good” by Ofsted in June 2025 and outstanding by the Archdiocese of Southwark in May 2025.

• This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious teacher or middle leader who is ready to take the next step in their career.  Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic and talented candidates who have the willingness to work hard, the desire to make a difference and the ability to learn and grow.  There will be an opportunity for the right candidate to complete an accredited senior leadership course supported by the school
• The main focus of the role will be on improving strengthening behaviour and attitudes across the school in line with our Salesian, RUAH ethos.
• There is the possibility of a senior safeguarding role available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will have:

• Recent and relevant professional development
• Vision, innovative ideas and a positive approach
• Ability to enthuse, inspire and develop staff and students
• Proven track record of raising standards and securing good outcomes
• Successful experience of whole school responsibility
• Demonstrable experience of effectively managing and implementing change
• Ability to manage resources efficiently
• Understanding of and commitment to inclusion for all
• A positive approach to working with young people and be supportive of our Salesian ethos.
• Knowledge of current educational issues and recent legislation
