More House School

More House School

More House School is a small, creative-thinking Catholic school in the heart of Knightsbridge, dedicated to educating girls aged 9 to 18. We pride ourselves on providing a progressive education within a historic setting, nurturing our pupils to become emotionally intelligent, ethical leaders and “agents of change”. With small class sizes and outstanding pastoral care, we ensure every individual is cherished and prepared for the complexities of adulthood.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Key Stage 2 Teacher to lead our unique Year 5 and 6 class. This role was established in 2025 to provide an alternative route into senior education, allowing girls to enjoy an uninterrupted education without the pressure of 11+ tests or SATS.

As the Pre-Senior Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in the academic and pastoral development of our students, ensuring they are confident and prepared for their automatic entry into our Senior School.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Teaching: Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across the Year 5 and 6 curriculum, collaborating with Heads of Department to integrate specialist teaching.

Student Development: Help students understand their strengths, foster intellectual curiosity, and celebrate their achievements to build a positive sense of self.

Assessment: Regularly assess student progress, providing tailored support and differentiation to meet a range of learning styles.

Leadership & Collaboration: Assist with recruitment for the pre-senior year and support school-wide teaching initiatives.

Pastoral Care: Act as the form tutor and first point of contact for parents, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for student growth.
