English is one of the most popular A Level subjects at Mayfield, and students consistently achieve excellent GCSE and A Level results in both English Language and English Literature. The successful candidate will foster a culture of creativity, intellectual curiosity, and confidence, ensuring every girl can thrive and achieve her full potential.
The Head of English will teach up to A Level English and English Literature, while also demonstrating enthusiasm and skill in teaching younger students. This is a thriving and happy Department that achieves the best for each girl by creating a stimulating learning environment, that encourages, and nurtures informed and independent thought in all students.
Mayfield is a leading Catholic Independent boarding and day School for girls aged 11-18 situated in beautiful East Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London and 30 miles from Gatwick.
