The Directors of the Edith Stein Academy Trust are looking to appoint a committed, practising Catholic to the role of Deputy Head of School at Oaklands Catholic School and Sixth Form College. As this is a key post, applicants must ensure they meet the criteria for practising Catholics as described by the Bishops of England and Wales.
Oaklands is a Catholic Academy taking in boys and girls from 11-18. There are over 1,300 students on roll, including a Sixth Form College of 220 students. It is a well-established, oversubscribed comprehensive school, which is well supported by parents and highly respected in the community.
Our next Deputy Head of School will be an enthusiastic and ambitious leader, who is inspirational and can lead on a range of pastoral and curriculum areas.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the impact they have already achieved in their current and previous settings. Key to this will be a strong record of leading developments that accelerate student progress and develop passion and excitement in students. Applicants need to demonstrate that they have the spirit, drive and ambition to make this a reality with a natural flair for challenging and empowering others. They will have a detailed understanding of the distinctive nature of the curriculum in a Catholic school.
