About All Saints Catholic College

All Saints is an 11-16 school, situated near the northern boundary of Kirklees. We are a Catholic school with students attending from diverse cultural backgrounds, which contributes to the distinctive ethos. In November 2022, Ofsted judged All Saints “Good” in every category, and we received a “Good with Outstanding Catholic Life and Mission” judgement from our Catholic Schools Inspection in March 2025.

About the role

This is a new role at All Saints as we are offering Health & Social Care for the first time next academic year.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and inspirational in the classroom, and will make a substantial contribution to the further development of this ‘good’ school from September 2025.

You will have responsibility for vocational courses across the school which includes being the centre’s lead quality assurer of all vocational courses, and developing further vocational provision across the school to ensure our curriculum is broad and balanced.

You will be required to teach both at KS3 and KS4 and will have strong classroom management skills, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to achieve the best possible outcomes for our students. The ability to monitor and track the progress of students through data is essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of the team. You would also be required to teach another subject – this will be discussed with the successful candidate.

You will also have the qualities to motivate and inspire our students and always bring out the best in them.

As standard, we offer ongoing CPD both in-house and through the Calderdale & Kirklees Teaching Hub, covering all aspects of teaching, learning and leadership.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our College. In turn, we are looking for a candidate committed to playing a part in transforming the lives of our young people.

What we can offer you

At All Saints Catholic College, we aim to create a happy workplace culture through promoting a healthy work/life balance. We do that by providing a package of flexible employee benefits, including:

  • An attractive pension scheme for both Teaching and Support staff.
  • A high-quality wellbeing package including medical cover, counselling, physiotherapy, fast track medical cover, care service and a 24 hour GP-helpline.
  • Care First Advice – a 24/7 information and counselling service.
  • We are part of the Cycle to Work scheme. Tax free bikes and safety equipment can be payable by payroll deduction through a partnership with Cyclescheme.
  • Free parking

Application process

Applications are invited from enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals who are able to work as part of the whole staff team, and who will support and uphold the Catholic ethos and practices of the school.

Please note, we do not offer visa sponsorship.

Enquiries should be emailed to Miss C Taylor at hr@aschc.com.

Please note, we are unable to accept CVs as an application for any of our vacancies as this does not support our safer recruitment processes.

Interviews will take place in April 2025.

All Saints is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Therefore, we expect all workers, volunteers and employees to share this commitment. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including online searches and a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Record with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children (where the role involves this type of regulated activity).

A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process.

Due to the number of application forms we receive, we regret we can only contact shortlisted candidates.
