 Salary – MPS / UPS

 ECTs are welcome to apply

St Anne’s RC Voluntary Academy has recently joined the Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust, so this is an exciting time for the school. Importantly, this is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified RE Teacher or ECT, who can teach RE to KS4. Additionally, for St Anne’s we have just achieved a ‘good’ Ofsted judgment [June 2023] for the first time in our history. This is the direct result of a strong, relentless, and positive leadership committed to serving this community.

A Subject Leader is in place who is driven by ensuring that the students at St Annes receive first class RE and gain a strong qualification at the end of their time at St. Anne’s.  You will support the Subject Leader in raising standards of student attainment and achievement within the RE curriculum area in line with national, diocesan, and school policies/priorities.

We are a fully comprehensive school, and the successful candidate will be able to engage, inspire and challenge students across the full range of ability. The candidate must be driven by ensuring that students receive an outstanding education which is reflected in outstanding pupil outcomes. The successful candidate will gain a wealth of experience, including working alongside an outstanding RE department in an outstanding partner school.

An enthusiastic and experienced Subject Leader

Centralised planning and a fully resourced, research-based curriculum

What are the Governors looking for?

A teacher/leader who believes in our Catholic Mission and will celebrate all our successes.

A teacher/leader who puts ‘students first’ and who doesn’t accept second best.

A teacher/leader who is ambitious in the best possible sense, and who is committed to student progression and excellence.

Our strong Catholic Ethos at St Anne’s means we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant’s appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
