Bishop Douglass Catholic School is a mixed, independent Academy within the Cardinal Hume Academies Trust and is comprised of approximately 1000 students, aged 11 – 18. The school is in pursuit of excellence and in 2023 the GCSE results placed us in the top 3% of schools in the country for our Progress 8 score.
The successful candidate will have access to an exceptionally well-resourced department that offers a 3-year KS3, positive numbers at GCSE and the choice of two pathways at KS5. In addition, the opportunity to provide a wide range of extra-curricular activities is included in the role, with the appointed candidate expected to maintain the department’s high profile across the school. There is also the opportunity to teach and work closely with, the Drama department.
Working closely with a supportive leadership team, the successful candidate will promote a nature of inclusivity in and fondness for the benefits of studying music as part of a broad school curriculum.
