The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is seeking a Teacher of Economics (and Business at KS4 and KS5) to join our community of dedicated educators from 1st September 2026. Key Responsibilities

  • As a Teacher of Economics (and Business at KS4 and KS5), you will:
  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across KS4, BTEC and A-Level Business and Economics, fostering a love for the subject and high standards of attainment
  • Contribute to curriculum development, shaping schemes of work and resources to ensure relevance and depth in line with national standards
  • Participate in departmental activities, including field trips and enrichment programmes, to support a well-rounded learning experience
  • Track and support pupil progress, providing feedback and reporting to parents to ensure each student achieves their potential
  • Act as a Form Tutor, offering pastoral support, promoting positive behaviour and instilling self-discipline

What We Are Looking For

Our ideal candidate:

  • Holds a good honours degree in Economics, Business or a related discipline, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Is committed to personal development
  • Brings excellent knowledge of the subject, curriculum requirements and exam specifications
  • Possesses strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to lesson planning and effective classroom management skills
