Teacher & Literacy Coordinator
Exciting Leadership Opportunity at St Anne’s
This is a pivotal time for our school as we continue to enhance our provision and ensure every student has access to a broad, academic curriculum. We are seeking a talented and motivated teacher ready to step into a leadership role, driving literacy strategies that support our teaching and learning vision and help all pupils achieve their full potential.
Pay: MPS/UPS plus TLR 2b
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: Spring/Summer term 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of whole-school literacy strategies that align with our vision and curriculum.
- Support and collaborate with teachers to embed literacy across all subjects.
- Monitor and analyse pupil progress in literacy, identifying gaps and shaping targeted interventions.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality teaching and assessment practises in reading, writing, spelling, and speaking.
- Promote a culture of high expectations and academic excellence.
- Contribute to school improvement planning and strategic vision.
- Support the Catholic mission of the school and celebrate pupil and staff successes.
Requirements:
- Qualified teacher status with classroom experience.
- A strong background in teaching literacy and a deep understanding of effective literacy strategies.
- Leadership experience or readiness to take on a leadership role within a secondary school setting.
- Commitment to promoting pupil progression and academic excellence.
- Alignment with our Catholic values and mission.
