Secondary or Primary School Teacher with Assistant SENDCo responsibilities
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who is interested in developing their career further. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, as well as support the SENDCo in providing tailored assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Pay: MPS/UPS plus TLR 2b
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: Spring/Summer term 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Collaborate with the SENDCo to identify and support students with SEND
- Contribute to the development and implementation of SEND policies and strategies
- Provide one-to-one and small group interventions for students with additional needs
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as a Assistant SENDCo
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong subject knowledge
- Experience working with students with SEND (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to promoting inclusive and supportive learning environments
