Loreto Grammar School is an 11-18 Roman Catholic Grammar School for Girls with Academy status located in Altrincham, in the Borough of Trafford. It is a thriving, successful and over-subscribed school, judged as “Outstanding” by Ofsted in September 2022 and by the Diocese of Shrewsbury. Loreto is a happy place to work.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint a SENDCo to lead the SEND provision and strategy at the school. The role offers scope for development and to work alongside children who are willing, capable and self-motivated learners. Experience of working with children with additional needs in a mainstream setting is essential together with a good knowledge and understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. A SEND qualification is required or the school will support the completion of a qualification within 3 years of appointment. Previous experience of working in a similar role or as a teacher would be an advantage. The successful candidate will join the established and supportive Loreto community and will be expected to commit to the ethos and values of the school.
