Salary: L7 to L9 (£57,831 to £60,644)

(please note: the SENCo post is not currently part of the Senior Leadership Team structure)

We are an 11-18 Catholic College with 1,600 students on roll, including 248 in the Sixth Form. GCSE and A level results have been consistently excellent over several years and we are determined to make ourselves an exceptional educational provider. Our college is highly popular with parents/carers, and we are oversubscribed every year.

We are looking to appoint a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCo) to lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs, to ensure they receive the support and opportunities they need to thrive. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, staff and parents to create an inclusive and supportive environment, and work alongside the Quality of Education team, a member of which holds NPQ for SEND.

Candidates should have:

·        Qualified teacher status in any phase (QTS) and SENCo qualification

·        Proven experience working with students with Special Educational Needs

·        Excellent leadership and organisational skills

·        Strong communication and teamwork skills
