Receptionist (Part Time)

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Receptionist to join our team in March 2025.

This wonderful role gives you long weekends and long holidays and is 13 hours per week Monday to Thursday, term-time only. Due to the remote location of the school, Candidates are required to have access to reliable transportation.

The successful applicant will warmly and professionally welcome every visitor to Worth Reception; pupil, parent, staff or guest via the front door, the phone, email or post whilst also ensuring a safe and caring environment. Ideally, they will have experience in a customer service role.

Specific Duties include:

  • All incoming and outgoing calls, and voicemail,
  • Warmly welcoming all visitors, signing them in according to safeguarding practices
  • Clear and professional communication with visitors, colleagues and students
  • Follow up of non-registered students and students absent from their lesson
  • Responsibility for all incoming and outgoing post
  • Management of the Reception@ and Information@ inboxes
  • Thorough handover with fellow Receptionists

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to utilise key software, such as Microsoft Office applications
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
  • Excellent customer focus and people skills

Desirable attributes:

  • Experience in an educational environment
  • Experience in an administrative role
