Receptionist –  Term Time plus 10 days.  This is a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract.

St Francis Xavier’s College, founded in 1842, is a Catholic Converter Academy with a co-educational Sixth Form with a strong academic tradition and 1000 pupils across KS3/4. The Sixth Form has strong collaborative links with partner schools across the city.

ROLE DETAILS

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional, confident and reliable candidate to join our administrative team and to make a real difference in our school.  Ideally, you will have experience of working in a school-based environment, however training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.

You must have the ability to work professionally under pressure and to deadlines.  Operating flexibly within the changing needs of the school is essential. The successful candidate will undertake general office administration together with maintaining information systems, databases and other associated records.  You will be required to cover the main reception desk and area, including switchboard, filtering all incoming calls and general enquiries as appropriate, mail distribution and visitor management.

You will also have the ability to multi-task and liaise with students, parents and external agencies on a daily basis.  The successful applicant will be the first impression many people have of our school and it is essential that we deliver a first class service to students/parents/visitors and external agencies.

The hours of work will be 37 per week.  Monday to Friday, term time plus 10 days.  

Monday – 08.00 – 16.00 –   with a 1 hour unpaid lunch. Tuesday to Friday 08.00 – 16.00 – with a 30 minute unpaid lunch.

Salary – Grade 3 SCP 5-9 FTE £23,500 – £25,119.  Actual pro rata £21,820.90 – £23,324.22
