Working hours are-

Monday to Friday – 07.00 to 14.30 with half an hour for lunch

One Saturday in four from 07.00 to 12.00

One late day per week from 10.30 to 18.00, the day required is flexible, with half an hour for lunch

We are seeking to appoint a Porter to join our team based at Worth School. The role involves working as part of a team, to be responsible for the wide-ranging general porter duties – cleaning duties across all school site, setting up of school events, ensuring a clean, safe and secure environment for the pupils, staff and visitors.

Due to the remote location of the school, Candidates are required to have access to reliable transportation.

As a Porter, your responsibilities would include:

  • Setting up of function rooms, community and outdoor areas for various events.
  • Day to day management of refuse and recycling across the site
  • Domestic repairs, eg- changing lamps, hanging curtains, refit loose fittings
  • General Cleanliness of internal and external areas, including leaning of spillages
  • Collection and delivery of site laundry
  • First point of contact out of house
  • Monitor the day-to-day safe operation of the car park
  • Being the ‘eyes and ears’ on the ground
