We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will be required to support the Buildings and Maintenance team with all general labouring and maintenance tasks as required, to assist with the efficient operation of the department in accordance with the standards required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • General labouring
  • Site Clearance
  • Perform routine health and safety checks to ensure correct performance of equipment and as part of Worth’s legal requirements; such as fire alarm testing and being an active member of the fire response team.
  • Conduct various periodic temperature checks, and record results, to ensure Legionella compliance. Shower head cleaning
  • Sewer maintenance and cleaning
  • Painting and routine maintenance jobs around the site
  • Driving and refuelling vehicles
  • Collecting materials from offsite suppliers when required
  • Assist other members of the department as required
  • Accompany visiting personnel/contractors as required
  • To attend meetings with staff/management as required

We are looking for someone that has:

  • Full clean driving licence
  • Able to read and understand instructions
  • Basic record keeping
  • Trustworthy
  • Basic computer skills

Ideally, we are looking for experience in general maintenance and with an understanding or knowledge of Legionnaires’ disease.
