St Thomas Aquinas Catholic School are seeking to appoint an outstanding Key Stage 3 Coordinator in Science.

We are seeking an innovative and driven individual who is determined to make an impact. GCSE examination results were in summer 2024 in the top 10% of schools nationally.

We are looking for someone who:

  • is passionate about teaching practical Science across key stages 3, 4 & 5
  • has high expectations of themselves and their students.
  • has a proven track record of raising attainment through their teaching and learning, making a positive impact within their own classroom.
  • has some understanding of key stage 2 content and how knowledge can be built upon at key stage 3
  • has a commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team and working strategically with the Head of Faculty and other post-holders.

St Thomas Aquinas is a large and thriving Catholic comprehensive school in the south of Birmingham. It is a vibrant community where staff and students from all faiths live out the school mission. The Catholic Schools Inspectorate judged the school to be ‘Outstanding’ in all areas and the school has very recently been through a very successful Ofsted inspection. As a result, we are an oversubscribed school and becoming more and more popular with families.
