Closing date: 9.00am on Thursday 24th April 2025.

The Governors of this Catholic high school and Sixth Form College wish to appoint an experienced teacher and excellent practitioner to lead the Business Studies Department within St Mary’s.

The curriculum offer within the department includes Business Studies at both Key Stage 4 and 5 (GCSE, A Level and CTEC Level 3) and Economics at Key Stage 5; both subjects are popular with students and results within the department are strong. It is therefore essential that the appointed candidate has the skills and ability to teach business studies and economics; the teaching commitment for this post will be predominantly Key Stage 5. The school is looking to appoint a leader who can use their experience, extensive subject knowledge, and vision to get the best from their team and deliver high quality outcomes for our students.

St Mary’s Catholic High School is good place to work and learn. We offer a supportive environment and believe very strongly in the pursuit of excellence for every individual within our community. Applications are welcomed from those aspiring to become a Head of Department or from experienced individuals who are looking for a new challenge. We would also welcome applications from colleagues in the FE Sector who hold QTS.
