Mayfield School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Boarding Assistant to join our boarding community with immediate start. This residential role plays a key part in supporting the pastoral care, well-being and daily life of our boarders, offering a rewarding opportunity to be fully involved in a vibrant boarding school environment.

Set in 75 acres of stunning Sussex countryside, Mayfield is a leading independent Catholic boarding and day school for girls aged 11–18. Located just under 50 miles from London and close to Gatwick and Tunbridge Wells, our school offers a supportive and enriching environment for both students and staff.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the pastoral, extracurricular and boarding life of the school.
The Boarding Assistant will:
- Support the day-to-day running of the boarding house, helping to create a safe, happy and supportive home-from-home environment.
- Provide pastoral care and supervision for pupils, promoting their personal development, well-being and welfare.
- Assist with evening, weekend and occasional overnight duties in line with the boarding rota.
- Engage with the school’s extracurricular programme and support a range of activities.
The role is especially well-suited for those who:

- Are reliable, approachable and able to work flexibly as part of a team.
