We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented part-time Art Teacher to join our vibrant and well-established Creative Arts faculty. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about developing students’ creativity and artistic skills.

You will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a rich and engaging curriculum that fosters self-expression, critical thinking, and technical skill development. Our department is well-resourced, and we pride ourselves on showcasing students’ work throughout the school.

Key responsibilities

  • Be a dynamic and reflective practitioner with a genuine passion for Art education.
  • Have high expectations for student achievement and behaviour.
  • Plan and deliver inspiring, creative, and well-structured Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration and self-expression.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
  • Prepare students for GCSE Art assessments, ensuring they meet or exceed expected outcomes.
  • Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, effort, and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of curriculum plans and resources within the department.
  • Promote and display student artwork around the school and at exhibitions/events.
  • Organise and lead extracurricular activities such as art clubs, competitions, and trips.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and whole-school events.
  • Engage in professional development and contribute to departmental meetings and planning.
