St Ursula’s Convent School are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education (RE) to join its team. The RE department is at an exciting stage of growth, with opportunities to shape and refine the curriculum while strengthening the Catholic ethos of the school. This role requires dedication and a proactive approach as we continue to build on strong foundations. This is an exciting opportunity to support the shaping and strengthening of our department, working collaboratively to inspire students and deepen their understanding of faith. This role is suitable for an ECT or an experienced teacher.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a practising Catholic, committed to upholding and promoting the teachings and values of the Catholic Church.
  • Have experience teaching Religious Education at Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong understanding of AQA GCSE Religious Studies Specification B and the KS3 RED curriculum.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Be passionate and knowledgeable about Religious Education – able to inspire students and encourage meaningful discussion.
  • Be eager to work collaboratively and contribute to the ongoing development of the RE curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, academically rigorous, and aligned with the school’s mission of ‘serviam’ (I will serve).
