Job overview

St. Gregory’s Catholic High School is offering a great opportunity for a teacher of Religious Education to join our successful and thriving school community. St Gregory’s has once again been judged as a ‘Good’ school in our recent inspection of July 2024 and Catholic Life is graded as ‘Outstanding’.

This role also includes a TLR to lead on RE curriculum transition between our partner primary schools as pupils enter Year 7 to ensure a consistent RE learning journey.

We are proud to celebrate that St Gregory’s has been named as the happiest secondary school in Warrington following research into Ofsted feedback by the Warrington Guardian.

What is also great about working at St Gregory’s is that Religious Education is at the heart of our school community and you will have the privilege of working with wonderful students who have a thirst for learning in an environment which is focused on positivity and strong relationships. You will join a very supportive and inclusive RE team who support each other to develop each other’s talents.

St Gregory’s is an incredible place to work, staff are positive and have excellent relationships with each other and the students that they work with. We have the highest pupil attendance levels in Warrington and at national level and the behaviour of pupils is excellent enabling high levels of teaching practice to take place without disruption.

The Religious Education team consists of 6 colleagues who produce competitive outcomes at both local and national level and are varying career stages.
