The Governors are looking to appoint a hard-working, inspiring and talented Psychology teacher to join our existing team and help take St Oscar Romero Catholic School and Sixth Form into the next chapter of its exciting journey. Our school has been on a rapid journey of improvement over recent years, something that was recognised in July 2019 when our school was judged outstanding in all categories in its Diocesan Section 48 inspection. Last year, 84% of students achieved at least a Grade 4 in both English and Maths. The Progress 8 score for the school was +0.89. Our challenge this year is to improve even further on that.
It is an exciting time to join the Social Science department in only its second year of the new sixth form which was established in September, 2024. We are seeking to recruit a new member of the team who will bring new ideas, academic mastery and dynamism to the department as our school continues on its quest to be the best in the country. The role will largely consist of teaching A-Level Psychology with potential to also deliver a small number of Sociology or Criminology lessons for the right candidate. We would be happy to receive applications from ECTs, MPS and UPS teachers.
