Our invitation:
This is a permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to teach Product Design across our whole school curriculum, more information is available in our Department Overview.  We are recruiting a suitably qualified teacher to work with Key Stage 3 to 5 pupils in our industrious, well-resourced design and technology department.  It would be beneficial for the applicant to have experience of working with resistant materials.  The department works on the premise of teaching and learning through practical activity and its intent is to instil within our pupils, a love of the traditional, tactile processes involved in the production of their designs, alongside an understanding of how ICT can aid them in this process.
The successful candidate will benefit from, and be able to contribute to, a well-ordered, warm-hearted school ethos that places a premium on character development.

 Skills and Qualifications:
  •  No previous teaching experience required; suitable for newly qualified teachers or those looking for their first permanent teaching role.
  •  A relevant degree or qualification in Product Design or related field.
  •  Strong subject knowledge with enthusiasm for design technology principles.
  •  Ability to communicate clearly with students of varying ages and abilities.
  •  Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
