Are you passionate about Business and Economics and committed to inspiring students? Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School is seeking a Teacher of Business and Economics to join our community of dedicated educators from 1st January 2025. We welcome both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers for this permanent role, offering the opportunity to teach a diverse range of abilities, including BTEC and A Level, within a school renowned for its strong academic outcomes and deeply rooted Catholic values.

Key Responsibilities

As a Teacher of Business and Economics, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across KS4, BTEC and A Level Business and Economics, fostering a love for the subject and high standards of attainment
  • Contribute to curriculum development, shaping schemes of work and resources to ensure relevance and depth in line with national standards
  • Participate in departmental activities, including field trips and enrichment programmes, to support a well-rounded learning experience
  • Track and support pupil progress, providing feedback, and reporting to parents to ensure each student achieves their potential
  • Act as a Form Tutor, offering pastoral support, promoting positive behaviour, and instilling self-discipline

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate:

  • Holds a good honours degree in Business and Economics or a related discipline, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Is committed to personal development
  • Brings excellent knowledge of the subject, curriculum requirements and exam specifications
  • Possesses strong organisational skills, a proactive approach to lesson planning and effective classroom management skills
