Teacher of Business & Economics

We are looking for a dynamic, committed professional with the enthusiasm to teach Business Studies and preferably Economics, starting in September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or an early careers teacher of Business Studies and Economics.

Business Studies and Economics is a large department in St Bonaventure’s School, offering GCSE Business, A-Level Business, BTEC Business and A-Level Economics. It is one of the school’s most popular option subjects at both Key stage 4 and 5. We are a highly successful department which beats national averages yearly and has previously been placed in the top 2% nationally for Business and Economics. We take pride in providing our students with an enriching learning experience, no matter their background, which is highlighted in our examination results where disadvantaged students performed at the top level compared to national benchmarks.

The ability to teach Economics to A Level would be an advantage.

You will be working with an outstanding and committed team who are passionate about Business and Economics and who work in an open and collaborative manner sharing best practice to raise standards higher. The Business and Economics team are a supportive team to help your career development alongside our excellent school wide CPD program.

We expect that you will have evidence of excellent classroom practice and high expectations of pupil attainment and, if overseas trained, that your professional qualifications are recognised in the UK by UK ENIC &/or the Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA).
