About the Role
As a Site Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining our school sites, ensuring they are secure, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations. From carrying out minor repairs to supporting the smooth operation of facilities, you’ll be at the heart of keeping our schools running effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the security, cleanliness, and functionality of school buildings and grounds.
- Perform small repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure a high standard of upkeep.
- Assist with opening and closing the school sites, managing alarms, and liaising with emergency services as needed.
- Support the health and safety of the sites, including fire safety compliance and hazard management.
- Move furniture, equipment, and materials as required to facilitate school activities.
- Work closely with contractors and cleaning teams to ensure high standards across the schools.
- Provide out-of-hours support when necessary and contribute to the success of school events and lettings.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
- Have a proactive approach to site maintenance, with good organisational and time-management skills.
- Show a high commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Be willing to develop skills through training, including gaining qualifications such as First Aid, IOSH certification, or minibus operation.
