Feeling settled or are you ready for a new challenge? Following the promotion of the existing postholder, the governors of this oversubscribed 11-18 Catholic high school and Sixth Form College are seeking an inspirational and excellent teacher with proven leadership experience, to appoint as the next Assistant Headteacher: Head of Mathematics at St Mary’s.
The leadership team within the department includes three key stage leaders who work closely with the Head of Department to drive forward continued improvements in teaching and learning and pupil outcomes. The appointed candidate will join a hard-working and experienced team of specialist Mathematics teachers, who have worked together to deliver the best curriculum for all our students; this is evidenced by a three year trend of improving pupil outcomes. We are looking to appoint an individual with the skills and ability to lead, motivate, challenge and support the Mathematics team to continue this trend of improving results to ensure all students can achieve their full potential.
As an Assistant Headteacher, you will also play an essential role in shaping the future of our school, working with the Headteacher and other senior leaders to ensure the highest quality learning experience that impacts positively on educating the whole child. This is an exciting opportunity to continue the development of the department and provide an excellent platform to demonstrate clear impact at senior leadership for an ambitious and talented teacher. The successful candidate will actively support our ethos and bring professionalism and academic credibility, balanced with warmth and sensitivity.
