We are looking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Business, who is committed to giving students the confidence to search for answers, to be inquisitive and turn interests into enthusiasms. Experience of teaching A Level and or Vocational Studies is essential. It would be an advantage for candidates to have prior experience of KS4 vocational business qualifications particularly Cambridge Nationals. In this role, you will be expected to teach the following subjects:

  • A Level Business
  • BTEC Level 3 – Enterprise and Entrepreneurship

The Economics and Business department is a friendly, thriving department with excellent resources, which prioritises student enjoyment and engagement with the subject, and ensures progress for all students. Lessons are taught in a modern, purpose-built facility, where we operate an open-door policy to students who can access regular teacher support, both in small groups and one-to-one settings, no matter the ability. Within the department there are numerous active societies such as the JCB Challenge, Young Entrepreneurs, and the Economics Society.

Responsible to the Head of Vocational Studies, with close links to the Head of Economics and Business Studies, at Ampleforth College, the successful candidate will have the ability to develop talents and enthusiasms of students of all abilities. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Ampleforth team. The successful candidate will satisfy all criteria and checks relating to suitability to work in a school environment. This post would be suitable for either an experienced teacher or an early career teacher (ECT).
