Job Title: Senior ICT Technician

Grade/SCP: SRS Band 5

Salary: £24,799 – £27,905 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Due to the nature of the role certain tasks may need to be undertaken out of hours and at weekends a certain level of flexibility is required.

Location: Based at St Thomas More Catholic Voluntary Academy, Buxton, the role will support a cluster of Trust academies, providing advice and technical support, therefore some travel across the Trust will be required.

St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust have a fantastic opportunity for an ICT support professional to join our Trust family. Primarily based at St Thomas More Catholic Voluntary Academy in Buxton, you will support the Trust ICT Manager with ICT implementation of a whole Trust approach to ICT delivery, as well as providing day-to-day support and advice across a wide range of hardware and software across a variety of teaching and learning environments at St Thomas More, and surrounding Trust schools, as and when necessary.

You will be required to:

• support the Trust ICT Manager with implementation of a whole Trust approach to ICT service delivery

• IT systems management, monitoring and support across a cluster of schools,

• incident escalation and problem management within the academies, supporting a wide range of hardware and software solutions across a variety of teaching and learning environments,

• day-to-day support across a cluster of academies to monitor all critical systems, such as anti-virus, networking equipment and server hardware systems.

To be successful you will:

• be educated to Degree, HND or CompTIA A+ or equivalent qualification,

• have proven experience in an IT support role

• have working knowledge of LAN topologies and architecture

• have the ability to install, test, patch and make software available to users

• formal training in Microsoft Office software, particularly Office 365 would be distinct advantage, as well as experience of working in a school setting.
